Making Waves in 2025

Another great year kicked off with our ever-popular Monday evening Junior Barracudas and Senior Swim sessions at nearby Alleyns School, which continue to thrive thanks to the skill and commitment of our professional coaches Sam and Henry. Early season energy carried into club competition as we hosted our own club relays at Brockwell Lido and sent teams to represent the Lido at Tooting and the Stock Exchange relays, showcasing teamwork and competitive spirit across the calendar.

Through the summer and into autumn Brockwell Swimmers made a big splash beyond the Lido. We entered four Channel Relay teams and staged the Brockwell Channel Challenge, a brilliant community effort that raised a combined £12,059 for the RNLI. We also ran two Swim Walks to Chersey and Margate that attracted wide participation, blending fitness, fundraising and friendship in equal measure. More planned for 2026.

As the year wound down we celebrated together at the Christmas Party and supported those who keep us safe with donations to the Lifeguards Christmas Box, closing 2025 on a warm, communal note.

Looking ahead, excitement is already building for 2026 and our very first cold water swimming championship, FreezeFest which will be a new milestone for the club and a fitting next chapter for Brockwell Swimmers.
