Swim Session times January to April 2025

This survey has now closed and from the nineteen members who voted here are the results:

63% voted to start the swim sessions at 8:30pm.

26% voted to start at 8:00pm (until April).

11% gave no preference either way.

 

Alleyns are changing their swim times, and in April the club will have to move our Mondays to 8:30pm.

For the fifteen sessions 6th January to 14th April we do have an option of keeping the 8pm start. However this would mean stopping the junior Barracuda sessions which we are hoping to run 7:30pm to 8:30pm.

LONG TERM – starting the adult sessions at 8:30pm and hiring the pool for two hours will give us a stronger position with Alleyns, and is also a more attractive deal for our swim coaches. Additionall this gives us options for the first hour (if Barracudas does not work, we could look to recruit more adult members and split the sessions).

SHORT TERM – starting at 8pm for the first fifteen Mondays may help a few of our club members, but only until 16th April after which the sessions will be moved to 8:30pm with no 7:30pm hire. The consequence being that if Alleyns find another club wanting to hire the pool for two hours Brockwell Swimmers will lose our Monday sessions completely.
