New Management at the Lido

Active Lambeth, the council’s in-house leisure management company, will be running the Lido as from 1st July following the financial collapse of Fusion Lifestyle who had managed the pool since 2006.

Here is their full statement:

Lambeth Council has confirmed that Brockwell Lido, including its outdoor pool, gym and café, will transfer to council management from July 1, with the site to be run through Active Lambeth.

The announcement that the council is stepping in to secure the future of the facility came after the current operator, Fusion Lifestyle, entered administration on April 1, following a prolonged period of financial difficulty.

Fusion Lifestyle, which has sites across the country, has been in discussions with the council about the future of this highly-valued community facility. The transfer will see Brockwell Lido move into council management this summer through Active Lambeth, Lambeth Council’s in-house leisure service.

The council’s priority is to maintain continuity of service, protect public access to the site and secure the long-term future of Brockwell Lido for residents.

Existing memberships will continue, with further information to be provided to members in advance of the transfer date. Brockwell Lido will become part of the wider Active Lambeth offer, giving users access to a broader range of leisure opportunities across the borough.

Staff and Lido members will experience continuity of service throughout, with minimal disruption expected for all users. The future management of the facility will be discussed with lido users and the local community.

Further details are available on the Fusion Lifestyle website.

The club are seeking assurances from the council and administrators that our current hire agreements for our Club Relays, Saturday Socials, Summer Swim School, Channel Challenge and FreezeFest ’27 will be honoured.
