Shepperton Sunset to Sunrise

Eight Brockwell Swimmers took on the challenge of the WSR Shepperton 24-Hour Swim last weekend 20th & 21st June, joining teams from across the country in one of open water swimming’s most unique endurance events. Over 24 continuous hours, our swimmers shared the workload, battling changing conditions, overnight swims and tired bodies while enjoying the camaraderie and team spirit that make the event so special. Great work from Alex Devine, Andrew Saward, Helena Munro, Jess Hoban, Jonathan Bashforth, Josh Cox, Sophie Harris and Steph Baker.

As well as taking on the physical challenge, the team used the event to raise funds for Level Water, a charity that provides one-to-one swimming lessons for children with disabilities. We are proud to support a cause that shares our belief that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits and freedom of swimming. If you would like to support our fundraising efforts, please visit our JustGiving page and help us make a difference.

The team returned with plenty of memories, a great sense of achievement and a renewed appreciation of what can be accomplished together. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to swim under the stars, cheer on teammates through the night and be part of an unforgettable adventure, why not consider joining the Brockwell Swimmers team for the next Shepperton 24-Hour Swim on 19–20 June 2027?

The club has booked an eight person team for the 19th and 20th June 2027. These will be given on a first come first serve basis. To register login and complete the form below:
